Dr. Lee has been working at Samsung Electronics since 2005 and has developed device and process integration of specialty semiconductors such as DDI, PMIC and Sensor. He is currently the group leader of the process architecture team in the sensor business.
Dr. Lee received his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in materials science and engineering from Seoul National University in 1999, 2001, and 2005.
He started his career in semiconductor process development at Samsung Electronics in 2005 and has worked not only in Logic processes but also in Discrete device, DDI, PMIC and Sensor semiconductor processes. He is currently leading the development of sensor processes such as logic process for ISP, next generation pixel process, WtoW interconnection process, and process of light receiving surface including color filter.

Dr. Vinit Dhulla is Director of Product Management at GLOBALFOUNDRIES (GF), where he leads product roadmaps and drives both technology and business strategy for optical imaging and sensing solutions across all end markets. Prior to joining GF in 2021, Vinit spent over 13 years at Voxtel Inc., holding various leadership roles focused on LiDAR sensor innovation, receiver/camera development, and demonstration systems. Following Voxtel’s acquisition by Allegro Microsystems in 2020, he led a cross-functional systems engineering team developing optical receivers for the automotive sector. Vinit holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University.

Abhinav Agarwal is currently a Member of Technical Staff with Forza Silicon (Ametek Inc.) and was instrumental in recently establishing a Forza India design center in Bangalore. He is a technical lead for various CMOS image sensors chips designed at Forza Silicon in applications ranging from cinematography, automotive and biomedical. As a lead author, he has presented papers at several prominent conferences like the International Image Sensor Workshop (IISW), IEEE VLSI Symposium on Circuits and Technology. He received the best student paper award at the IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference in 2020. Abhinav is also passionate about improving the design and verification flows related to CMOS Image Sensors and has presented multiple collaborative articles with Siemens EDA at the Design Automation Conference (DAC). Prior to his role Forza, Abhinav was graduate researcher at Caltech working in implantable medical devices resulting in several US patents.

Albert Theuwissen received the degree in electrical engineering and his PhD from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in 1977 and 1983 respectively. In 1983 he joined Philips Research Labs (the Netherlands) and in 2002 he started working for DALSA. His whole career he was involved in R&D of solid-state image sensors.

He issued several patents and he is author or coauthor of 240+ technical papers, including a textbook "Solid State Imaging with Charge Coupled Devices". He acted as general chairman of the International Image Sensor Workshop in ’97, ’03, ‘09 and in ’15, and as International Technical Program Chair of the ISSCC2010.

In 2001, he became part-time professor at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He left DALSA in 2007, and founded Harvest Imaging. Since then he is fully focusing on training, teaching and consulting in the field of solid-state imaging technology.

In 2011 he received the Electronic Imaging of the Year Award and in 2017 he was elected as the President of the International Image Sensor Society.

Jaehyuk Choi received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2004, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2006, the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 2013.

From 2013 to 2015, he was a Research Staff Member at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), Samsung Electronics, Suwon, South Korea, where he developed depth sensors and low-power image sensors. He has been with Sungkyunkwan University since 2016. He is currently an associate professor at Department of Semiconductor Systems Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, South Korea. In 2020, he co-founded SolidVue Inc., a LiDAR startup company in South Korea. He is currently a co-CEO of SolidVue. He was a co-recipient of the IEEE ISSCC Silkroad Awards in 2020 and 2021.

Dr Xinyang Wang is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Gpixel Group. With over 20 years’ experience in CMOS image sensor design, he has been responsible for designing and managing off-the-shelf and customized image sensor projects for industrial, medical, consumer and space applications.
Dr Wang received his PhD degree from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 scientific publications and hold more than 30 patents regarding CMOS image sensor design. He also serves in the technical committee of SPIE Electronic Imaging (EI) and the International Image Sensor Workshop (ISSW).

Myung-Jae Lee received B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degrees in EEE from Yonsei University (South Korea) in 2006/2008/2013. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with TU Delft (The Netherlands) in 2013-2017 and a Scientist with EPFL (Switzerland) in 2017-2019, where he worked on advanced single-photon sensors and applications as well as coordinating and managing several research projects as a Co-PI. In 2019-2024, he was a Principal Research Scientist (PI) with KIST (South Korea), where he led the R&Ds of SPAD and SiPM detectors/sensors for LiDAR, biomedical, and quantum applications.
Since 2024, he has been an Associate Professor with Yonsei University (South Korea), where he has been leading the R&Ds of silicon photonics and optical interconnects as well as next-generation SPAD/SiPM/APD detectors/sensors for various applications. He has published 120+ papers in international journals and conferences. He holds 30+ patents and has received 20+ awards/honors. He has delivered 50+ invited talks, has been working as a technical advisor for various domestic & foreign companies, and has been serving as a (steering/organizing) committee member of several conferences.

Dr. Hayato Wakabayashi

Hayato Wakabayashi is a General Manager of Department 9, Research Division 1 at Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation. He received a M.S in the Engineering from Osaka University and Ph.D. from Tohoku University, Japan respectively. He served on the technical program committee of the symposium on VLSI Circuits from 2014 to 2017 and had been engaged in a member of the technical program committee of International Solid-State Circuits Conference from 2017 to 2021. And he received the Walter Kosonocky Award for the paper of back-illuminated CMOS image sensor in 2011. He also serves the vice chair in the technical committee on Integrated Circuits and Devices (ICD) from 2023 in Japan. Currently he has been responsible for the research and development of future imaging and sensing devices technology, low power circuits and AI systems.

Dr. Ha Manlyun has been working in the CMOS Image Sensor field for over 20 years, and has been working as a head of a related department at DB HiTek since 2019. He has contributed to the process development of CMOS Image Sensors and the advancement of the Foundry industry. Dr. Ha received his MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST, Korea, and has been listed as an author or co-author in more than 20 domestic and international papers and 40 patents related to Image Sensors. He is currently working as a technical committee member at the Korea Semiconductor Conference after 2009, and is also working as a TPC member at the International Image Sensor Workshop (IISW) after 2019.
Now he serves the Korea Image Sensor Study section committee member from 2024.
