Pre-Conference Workshop

Pre-conference workshops

  1. LiDAR and 3D-stacked technologies for consumer, automotive and biomedical applications

Claudio Bruschini | Scientist & Lab Deputy of EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne)

    09:00 - 12.30

    More details to follow shortly

  2. Recent developments in the CIS world

Albert Theuwissen | Founder of Harvest Imaging

    13:30 - 17:00

The workshop will focus on the most recent technical developments for CMOS image sensors.  An overview will be given of remarkable trends and device developments that have been published over the last 24 months, as well as insight into new developments which are not yet published.

Topics that will be highlighted are image sensors for:

    • IoT applications (low-power, always on)
    • face recognition (global shutter in combination with near-IR sensitivity)
    • increased near-IR technologies
    • stacking (global shutter, reduced noise, DRAM option)
    • automotive (flicker mitigation, HDR)
    • single photon detection

Due to the combination of background information and trend projections being presented, this workshop will be of value to experienced imaging engineers as well as those newer to this fast developing field.
